JOB SUMMARY: Manages the shipping and finished goods quality assurance functions to ensure proper inventory, on-time delivery, and finished goods inspection.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:                                                                                                

1.       Directly, or through the collaboration of other department supervisors, plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Shipping department in a safe, organized manner

          compliant with company and other regulatory policies      

 2.       Assures final quality inspection of the finished goods meets specification before shipment.                                 

 3.       Maintains labeled and organized stock environment as well as clean warehouse in finished goods area.         

 4.       Coordinates and supervises the generation of pick lists, bills of lading and packing list documents for shipments              

 5.       Ensures personnel properly clock in or out of work orders.                                                                           

 6.       Ensures proper photographs and labels are on all outbound freight in compliance with shipping checklist.      

 7.       Manages safe and efficient pallet production including cost for the plant.                                                               

 8.       Manages shipping labor budget.                                                                       

 9.       Manages flow of finished goods from plant to shipping.                                                                              

 10.    Enforces and observes all safety rules ensuring a safe work environment at all times.                                           

 11.    Performs light assembly of import products.                                                                   

 12.    Collects documentation, verifies items identified to whip as processed through clean and pack. Transfers documentation to Inventory Control

          Supervisor.                                                                         

 13.    Demonstrates proficiency in Global Shop.                                                                       

 14.    Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft office products with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

1.       Meets dress code/uniform standards; appearance is neat and clean                                                   

 2.       Completes any training requirements                                                                                                 

 3.       Maintains dependable attendance                                                                                                      

 4.       Wears ID badge while on company property or job sites                                                             

 5.       Works in a safe manner and observes all safety regulations Performs other duties as assigned or requested         

  

Education and Experience Requirements: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
